The Vice President of Academic Affairs Henry Giacaman and the Physics Professor Hazem Abu Sara participated in the First Palestinian International conference on Peaceful uses of Atomic Energy that was held at Palestine Technical University.

Dr. Abusara presented a paper focuses on calculating the height of fission barrier for actinides and super heavy nuclei using density functional theory. His agreed very well with the experimental data.
