Mahmoud Daifallah and Hala Al-Qadi obtain silver medals in West Asia Karate Championship

Mahmoud Daifallah, student in the Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s program, and Hala Al-Qadi, student in the Civil Engineering bachelor’s program, attained silver medals in the West Asia Karate Championship held in Jordan.

Daifallah received the silver medal after defeating his Kuwaiti competitor in the Men’s Kumite - 67kg category. He described this experience as thrilling, hoping that it will be the first step toward greater achievements.

As for Qadi, she obtained the silver medal in the Women’s Kumite - 68kg category after defeating her Syrian counterpart. Qadi stated that this accomplishment is part of the preparations for future championships in which she aspires to bolster the image of Palestine in international flora. Qadi further maintained that she will participate in the upcoming Asian Games that will be held next October in China.

Daifallah and Qadi were part of the Palestinian Karate Federation, which comprised 23 athletes representing Palestine. They competed against teams from various Arab countries, including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Iraq, Bahrain and Syria.
