Birzeit University and Al Wataniya Mobile to expand cooperation

Birzeit University President Abdullatif Abuhijleh met on April 11, 2017 with the Chief Executive Officer of Al Wataniya Mobile Durgham Maraee where they discussed prospects of expanding cooperation.

The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Rania Jaber, the Director of university’s Advancement Services Section Nadine Sinokort, the Scholarships & Stewardship Coordinator Laurance Theodory, and the Sales Director at Al Wataniya Mobile Ziad Nimer, and the Human Resources and Administration Director Tareq Soufan.

Abuhijleh emphasized on the strong ties that the university has with Al Wataniya Mobile, which has shown a great commitment towards our students, and their academic and professional development.

The president pointed out to the complementary role that national and private sector organizations play in fulfilling the university’s mission. “We look into opportunities of cooperation to offer better learning opportunities, and graduate high-qualified professional youth that are able to contribute positively to their societies.”

Maraee reaffirmed their commitment towards the Palestinian community. “Higher-Education is a recognized social and economic development factors. Therefore, we offer more than 20 internship opportunities annualy in different disciplines.”

Maraee emphasized on the mission of Wataniya towards national economic development by improving the quality of life of Palestinians.
