Students in the Administrative Law course in the Faculty of Law and Public Administration at Birzeit University attended a specialized workshop organized by the Palestinian National School of Administration at the General Personnel Council.

The workshop, held on Sunday, May 13, 2018, saw staff from the administration school and the personnel council introduce students to concepts in administration, e-governance, and job planning.

Musa Abu Zaid, chairman of the General Personnel Council and the National School of Administration, highlighted the council’s achievements and the advances made in the public employment sector in Palestine

“We have made great strides in public employment,” said Abu Zaid. “Such as the electronic exam for public employment applicants and other measures that guarantee transparency and integrity.”

Dr. Issa Manasra, a professor of administrative law at Birzeit University, noted the progress made by the personnel council and the school of administration in increasing the quality of service provided to the Palestinian public and the capacity-building training courses and workshops held at Palestinian national institutions.

“It is truly a model to be followed,” said Manasra of the school of administration. “It stimulates and encourages capacity building and development, which serves to create a successful managerial environment.”
