Student Sahar Abu Zahryyeh wins first place in broadcast literary criticism competition

Eleven students from the Department of French Language participated in a competition for broadcast literary criticism, organized by the Consulate General of France in Jerusalem for French language students at Birzeit University, An-Najah National University and Al-Aqsa University.

To prepare for the competition, the students participated in workshops to develop their writing, listening and conversation skills.

Student Sahar Abu Zahryyeh achieved first place for her critique of “The Wizard of the Kremlin” by Giuliano da Empoli. Additionally, Jihan Malkeh, Zaina Ali, Sujood Abdul-Rahman and Israa Hussein won prizes for their distinguished participation in the competition.

The awards ceremony was held on March 14, 2023, at the French-German Cultural Center, Ramallah, to celebrate Francophonie Month. During the event, school students and French teachers recited Palestinian poetry in the presence of consulate representatives.
