Companies, Organizations Seek Employees at 18th Business and Economics Career Day

Birzeit University’s Faculty of Business and Economics held on April 30, 2013 its 18th Career Day, sponsored by the Wataniya Mobile Company.
The career day brought together a large number of companies and national institutions offering job opportunities for university graduates by facilitating their job search process.
University president Khalil Hindi said in his opening address, "Birzeit University pays special attention to its relations with all national sectors, as the university must constantly interact with the community and work on developing it in order to facilitate students’ transition to working life."
Faculty Dean Mohamed Nasr said that the career day is just one part of the faculty’s activities to bridge the gap between academic and professional sectors. He noted that the faculty’s Training and Employment Unit is working hard to strengthen relationships with national institutions and companies to explore their needs and to regularly follow-up on their graduates.
Wataniya Human Resources Director Nuha Masri said that her company’s sponsorship of the career day is part of its corporate social responsibility towards the community, and students in particular. She expressed her happiness at signing a long-term agreement with the university, the first of its kind for the company, thus allowing a greater scope of cooperation.
Palestine for Credit and Development (FATEN) director Anwar Jayyousi announced that his organization will provide 10 jobs for graduate students this year, and called upon those in charge to motivate and encourage graduates.
