Birzeit University Team Wins Two Prizes for Best Representation at Model Arab League

Birzeit University students participating in the Cairo International Model Arab League won two awards for the best representation at the conference, which was held November 18-22, 2014 at the American University in Cairo. More than 40 students from various U.S., Turkish and Arab universities competed in the event.

Birzeit University was represented by two teams of three political science students each, supervised by political science teacher Lord Habash. She said that the Birzeit students’ participation in the conference illustrated their outstanding commitment and performance, which led to their success.

The student-run Cairo International Model Arab League is the biggest annual international conference in the Middle East. It seeks not only to simulate the Arab League, but to offer a vision for a more peaceful, tolerant, and efficient Arab World. Academic councils discuss political, social, and economic topics happening in the Arab region at the event.
