Former VP Becomes a Senior Member at "IEEE"

Birzeit University President Khalil Hindi has recently received a congratulations letter from the President of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in the United States J. Roberto B. de Marca, in which Hindi was notified that Birzeit University fomer Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Adnan Yahya has assumed a top senior/ professional rank at the IEEE this year.

In his letter, Marca stated: “We are very pleased to have Adnan H. Yahya join the elite rank of IEEE Senior Members – both Adnan Yahya and you should be proud of the professional achievements that led to this recognition. We look forward to additional contributions and successful projects and discoveries made by or associated with our new Senior Member.”

Marca added: “Senior Member is the highest professional grade of the IEEE for which a member may apply. It requires experience, and reflects professional accomplishment and maturity. Only 7% of our 431,000 members have achieved this level.”
