Transforming Assessment Practices in Large Enrollment First Year Education (TAP)

The project is implemented in the context of massive education which has recently became a common trend in Palestine, with institutions working desperately to raise funds to face waning financial resources. The number of students in large group classes is usually between 60-120 students per section.

This project focuses on outcome-based assessment in freshman education and on adopting technology supported self-directed learning activities to help improve the quality of interaction in large group instructions, allow for time-efficient assessment and feedback practices, develop innovative technology-supported classroom assessment techniques, provide timely feedback and improve satisfaction rates in large group instruction, and engage learners in giving feedback to their own peers.

The project aims to improve assessment practices in foundational first-year education using technology options and institutionalize formative assessment policies for large enrollment groups.
