Access and Parking

Car Parking

Birzeit University buildings have private car parking lots for employees and teachers, in addition to car parking lots for students inside and outside the university campus, as identified by the Engineering Office at the university. The university offers 595 parking places in total, and there are also parking lots for people with special needs.

Academic Council

The Academic Council is formed in the beginning of each academic year, according to the university’s general law of 2005 (Article 32).

The Academic Council is headed by the vice president for academic affairs, with the membership of the undergraduate programs assistant vice president for academic affairs, deans, acting dean of student affairs, director of admission and registration and faculties’ representatives elected annually by the members of the academic body, each according to his/her faculty.

Arts

Established in 1972 as one of the first two faculties at Birzeit University, the Faculty of Arts is now the largest faculty on campus, offering the most degree programs and in enrollment (with currently more than 2,900 students).  The very first Faculty of Arts undergraduate class graduated in 1976 with only 43 students.
