The Organizing Committee of the Seventh Palestinian Conference on Modern Trends in Mathematics and Physics announces the “Outstanding MSc Thesis Prizes” that will be awarded in conjunction with the conference to be held at Birzeit University in the period 30 July -1 August 2022. There will be separate prizes for MSc theses in Mathematics and in Physics. The value of the first prize in each field is $500, of the second prize is $300 and of the third prize is $200. A special committee will be appointed by the Organizing Committee to evaluate the submitted theses.
To be eligible for nomination to compete for these prizes a thesis must satisfy the following conditions:
- The thesis must have been submitted to obtain a Master’s degree from a Palestinian university.
- The thesis must have been successfully defended after May 31, 2018,
- A soft copy (WORD or Linux) of the final approved thesis and pdf copies of the pages showing clearly the signatures of the defense committee and the date of the defense is supplied to the Organizing Committee by June 05, 2022,
- An official letter of nomination by the thesis supervisor is supplied to the Organizing Committee by June 05 2022,
- Publication of the results of the thesis in an internationally-ranked academic journal will be considered an added value.
