Dr. Yousef Daoud is Associate Professor at the Development Economics program, he received his Ph.D. from the State University of New York-Albany. He has held numerous academic and administrative positions at Birzeit University including: Dean of the College of Business and Economics; MA Program Director and Chair of the Economics Department. He was also Acting Director of the Center for Development studies and an Associate Professor of Economics. In addition, he has also held consulting positions with national and international organizations including UNCTAD, ESCWA, the World Bank, ICON Institute, and DFID. Some of his publications appeared in Health Economics, Economics of Education Review, and the Journal of Population Economics. He also led the Palestinian GEM research team.
