Hazem Abu Sara
Hazem Abusara currently serves as a Professor of Physics at Birzeit University, where he also holds the position of Registrar and Director of Admissions. Dr. Abusara earned his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Mississippi State University, with a dissertation focusing on nuclear phenomena using Covariant Density Functional Theory. He came to Birzeit University in 2015 after spending three year at An-Najah National University as an assisstant Professor. He was promated to the rank of Associate Professor in 2018 and to full Professor in 2024. His research career includes numerous publications in high-impact journals, covering topics such as nuclear shape evolution and magnetism in two-dimensional materials. He is also a reviewer for several high impact journals such as Physical Review C, Journal of Physics G and others
