Solidarity economy and the struggle of trade-unions: One combined approach for resilience and resistance in Palestine

Recent years have seen growing debates about the best structure of the Palestinian economy. More than 27 years of enforced economic dependence on the relation with the colonial Israeli power, emerged the need to change the structure of the Palestinian economy to be inclusive and resistant against colonialism. This workshop will discuss trade-unions, as decentralised wide networks struggling for the rights of workers, that can be an adequate structure for a solidarity economy supporting the resilience and resistance of the Palestinian people against the Israeli colonial power. The webinar will touch upon the following question; how can these Palestinian experiences be utilized by initiatives in the wider region in the Arab world?
