HLTH1301 | INTRODUCTION TO PUBLIC HEALTH

This course clarifies the inter-disciplinary field of public health to students, including its historical development and major concepts and themes, such as the difference between the individual and population-based strategies for improving health. The course will also introduce students to the tools and applications of public health, including epidemiologic principles, health policies, and integrating public health with other health professions, as well as the main public health issues in Palestine. The format will include lectures, discussions and problem-based learning.This is a 3 credit hour course, with no prerequisite courses.
