Exploring the fundamentals of architectural utility and how to build a project program, focusing on the spatial compositions in relation to the functional relations and requirements. Focus on Small/Medium scale residential, commercial environments and working spaces. Integrating building systems and structures in the design solutions and the implications of design on human behavior within its visual, functional, psychological dimensions. Problem-solving methods that emphasize pre-design/programming and the schematic design phases of the design process. (1 hour theory, 9 hours practical)
