DSIN1410 | PRINCIPLES OF INTERIOR DESIGN

Introduction to fundamental principles and elements of design; form space and structure, geometric relations, spatial composition, materiality, utility, scale, elements and spatial composition organizations, proportions, scale and harmony, perception of interior spaces and their integration, elements of circulation. Aesthetic and visual qualities of two-dimensional shapes and three- dimensional forms, their spatial impact and formal attributes Enhance student’s ability to deal with abstract compositions through various small-scale exercises. Lectures will cover principles and elements of design, spatial organization and composition, material and tactility, and aesthetics. (1-hour theory, 9 hours practical)
