Birzeit University has opened nominations for the Shireen Abu Akleh Award for Media Excellence.
Each year, the award will be given to three winners in the following three categories:
- Visual media
- Digital media
- Audio media
Candidates must submit three distinguished works that address issues of public concern in Palestine.
Palestinian journalists from all over historic Palestine are invited to submit their work via [email protected] before May 1, 2023.
The results will be announced in a ceremony on May 11, 2023, to memorialize the first anniversary of the assassination of Shireen Abu Akhleh. The ceremony will take place on campus in the presence of journalists, academics and concerned parties.
