An advanced improvisation class in the Arabic maqam genre. Students will learn the theory of each maqam and its practical application, and will develop their Musical skills in building stylistic maqam improvisations. Students will apply their advanced knowledge of Arabic Music Solfege, Theory and Maqam to create taqaseem solos, which are accurate, aesthetic and individual.
