Operations and activities

Field researchers cover all cities and villages in the northern, southern and central West Bank and Gaza Strip as well as Jerusalem, and are in touch with documentation centers across the Green Line.  They have likewise visited the Ottoman Archives in Istanbul in the quest for relevant documents from the early twentieth century. We are also in touch with Jordanian universities and libraries as well as the British National Archives (formerly Public Records Office) in London and the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Oral history collections from Lebanon have been acquired. The archive regularly hosts and exchanges information with guests and delegations, as well as organizing workshops and the March 2014 international conference, whose proceedings are to be published. Published analyses of our collections and others in Palestine are planned.
