Samih Darwazah Institute for Pharmaceutical Industries (SDIPI) addresses current challenges in the pharmaceutical industry with the aim of developing pharmaceutical products towards more selective and robust manufacturing processes, more stable formulations, and better characterized and consistent products.
Research at SDIPI at Birzeit University focuses on developing new techniques and methods for improving the formulation, characterization, and stabilization of different pharmaceutical dosage forms.

Engineering Workshops Building
The first floor was constructed in 1984, while the second floor was built in 1995 with an area of 1,790 sq. meters, including the Faculty of Engineering workshops and the Faculty of Information Technology. The building was donated by Omar Aggad.
Electric Generator Building
Established in 1982 with an area of 185 sq. meters, it provides the university with electric power in emergency situations.
