Professor Khalil Speaks at Germany Conference on Arab Parliaments

Faculty of Law and Public Administration dean Asem Khalil participated. In an international conference held in Berlin on October 4-8, 2014 along with other academics and members of Arab parliaments. The conference addressed the role of Arab parliaments in the recent process of transformation in Arab countries. Khalil’s paper was entitled, "Alternatives to Parliaments under Backward Democracies: What are the Lessons Learned from Palestine?"

The conference was organized by the University of Munster in Germany and the University of Cairo in Egypt, with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
