Info session introduces Erasmus+ projects

The Birzeit University Grants and Contracts Office organized an information session on the Erasmus+ program on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

Funded by the European Union, Erasmus+ supports projects that address capacity building in higher education, unemployment issues, climate change, economic and post-conflict migration, digitalization and globalization.

Grants and Contracts Office Director Dr. Amir Khalil emphasized the significance of the program for developing higher education institutions in Palestine and noted that participants have the chance to collaborate on Erasmus+ projects with local and international partners.

Dr. Abdul Karim Daraghmeh, director of the National Erasmus+ Office, discussed the proposal submission process and answered participants’ inquiries about the program.

Later, Dr. Daraghmeh met Birzeit University President Beshara Doumani, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Talal Shahwan and Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Iyad Tumar and discussed cooperation prospects between Birzeit and local universities, as Birzeit has participated in the program since 2015 and has more than 27 international partners.
