Faculty Presents at European Society Meeting for Clinical Investigation

Biology and Biochemistry Department Chairman Johnny Stiban participated in the 50th Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Society for Clinical Investigation in France on April 27-29, 2016.Stiban presented a lecture about mitochondria, metabolism and disease. He says that his participation offered him great benefits. “The best advantages of participating in an academic or professional conference are the opportunities to build our network, transfer our knowledge, and increase our awareness of new trends in our area of interest, which will eventually be transferred to our students and will  help them broaden their knowledge and experiences.”The annual meeting allows clinicians and basic scientists from all over the World to meet in stimulating workshops to foster scientific collaboration focusing on a vast array of topics such as biology, mitochondrial biology, rheumatology, cardiovascular disease, and so on.
