Birzeit University Students Organize Sit-in for Imprisoned Students
Following a large meeting of students on campus today, the Birzeit University student movement decided to embark on a wide range of activities over the next few days in solidarity with students imprisoned by the Palestinian Authority over the last few days.
Tonight, over 120 students are spending the night in the University cafeteria where they intend to remain until all those imprisoned are freed. Students from all political blocks are participating in the action and they anticipate support from other Palestinian universities and institutions in the West Bank.
The students are connected to the internet where they are replying to the many messages of support received by email. Messages can be sent via firstname.lastname@example.org where they will be forwarded to the students.
