Sails of Hope is a traveling event that will be presented in ten venues that include Palestinian universities, schools and camps.

Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Iyad Tumar asserted that Birzeit University holds frequent art exhibitions to support Palestinian artists and enrich the artistic and cultural scene in Palestine.

Al-Bireh Municipality member Sufian Qaraan stated, “The municipality organized the art exhibition to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the first Intifada and highlight art as an instrument of resistance and activism.”

Wael Rabie is a refugee born in 1970 in Al-Am’ari camp, Ramallah. He is a member of the Union of Palestinian Artists and has participated in local and international art exhibitions. Through art, Rabie aspires to express the hopes and woes of Palestinians.
