Mahmoud Dodeen studied law at Qatar University and obtained master degree in law from Birzeit University. Since 2005 he served as senior legal researcher at the Institute of Law/Birzeit University. Dodeen finalized his PhD in financial economics law at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (University of Brussels) on the efficiency of the listing and disclosure Rules of the Palestine Stock Exchange from a critical and comparative approach. In his PhD a comparison has been made to the relevant EU directives and the federal laws of the USA. Professor Dodeen concentrates on financial, civil and commercial matters, with a focus on securities, mortgage finance and leasing regulations. Currently he is working as an assistant professor at Birzeit University and a lecturer at the legislative drafting programmes at the Institute of law/Birzeit University. Dr. Dodeen published several scientific contributions on his areas of focus particularly legislative review and rule of law in Palestine.
