Digital control systems, difference equations, and z-transformation. Sampling and reconstruction, s-domain to z-domain mapping, and Nyquist sampling theorem. Discretization of continuous controllers and their realization approach. Discrete state space representations. Stability tests, reachability, and observability of discrete state space models. Design regulators, tracking systems, and observers design based on pole placement or discrete LQR. Practical applications of microcontrollers in variety of control systems design and interfacing of real industrial on-board controllers problems.
