Theoretical background of materials in construction: concrete, cementitious material, aggregates, natural stone, tiles and blocks, wood, steel, ceramics, and insulation materials, aggregates tests: specific gravity of coarse and fine aggregates, absorption, abrasion; casting of concrete and workability tests; hardened concrete tests: compressive and tensile strength, nondestructive tests; visual inspection and strength of natural stone;  visual inspection and strength of concrete blocks; compressive strength of cement, lime, and gypsum; steel tensile test; visual inspection and abrasion of ceramic tiles and marble; wood compressive strength.
