DSGN2380 | WORKSHOPS 1: WOOD AND METAL

An introduction to the making techniques, skills in wood work and metalwork through specific project briefs and assignments to gain understanding of making (planning production and operating machines in a carpentry and a metal workshop) exploring the potentials of wood and steel through working in specialist workshop labs with focus on method and technologies. Lectures will specifically focus on materials, standards and safety measures. (1hour theory, 6 hours practical).
