Biography

Shaker Alkaraki was born in Hebronin 1988. He received the degree in communication engineering with first cl
ass honours in 2011 from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIU
M), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and he received master degree with distinctionin communication engineering from University of Manchester, Manchester,
United Kingdom. Shaker’s research focused mainly on antenna design during h
is undergraduate project and master study.

High gain antenna is an antenna
focuses the radiation of electromagnetic waves “antenna’s beam” towards sin
gle direction. Millimetre-wave antenna means that the antenna’s dimensions
and the operation electromagnetic waves are in the millimetre size; meanwh
ile, steerable antenna means that the antenna’s beam is steered (directed)without physically moving the antenna. The proposed plasmonic antennas hav
e promising potential applications in many fields such as: radars, defencesystems, imaging systems and many biomedical applications such as: cancerdetection, because of their high penetration and resolution characteristi
