Sciences of the State

To prepare capable staff who are well versed in State Government knowledge from a multilingual perspective and who are able to carry duties relevant to such field. Furthermore, to prepare graduates who are able to conduct applied and scientific research that combines both professionalism and innovation; and to develop the skills and the abilities of critical and innovative thinking in our students and enable them to develop innovative and creative solutions to what may face in their areas of specialization, and to prepare them for graduate studies.

  • Expand the students’ knowledge and attainment by making them more aware of international laws and regulations relevant to running state government administratively, legally, and politically and by utilizing multilingual approach.  
  • Give students a competitive advantage on the local regional and international level through a multi-disciplined study (political, legal, and administrative) using multilingual approach (Arabic/English/French).
  • Prepare qualified experts who are empowered and capable of understanding, analyzing, and explaining complex issues. This will help meet society’s needs and deal with crises it may face on public and/or private level.
  • Students who have solid knowledge in various theories, terminologies, and various schools relevant to the study of government.
  • Students who possess sufficient knowledge of the establishment of the state and its evolution from legal, political, and administrative perspective and how it is regulated.
  • Students who are knowledgeable of how public organizations are run, utilizing multilingual approach.
  • Students who have knowledge in international political systems and how they compare to Palestinian systems.
  • Students who are capable of understanding and analyzing strategic issues and key local and global changes affecting government and especially in the Palestinian context.
  • Students who are capable of understanding and analyzing public policies and development issues and how to allocate state resources.
  • Students who are able to discuss and analyze public budgeting issues from political, legal, and administrative angles.
  • Students who are able to discuss and analyze the Palestinian political, legal, and administrative systems and compare them to other regional and international systems.
  • Students who effective analytical skills that will enable them to explain and interpret decisions made by the state.
  • Students who are able to understand current events in their country Palestine.
  • Students who have the ability to understand and analyze the current problems facing the country from multiple perspective (legally, politically, and administratively).
  • Students who are capable of connecting political science, public administration and the law; and who are capable of using that to analyze and interpret key internal and external issues facing the country or/and affecting it.
  • Students empowered with scientific research skills in government studies.
  • Students with the ability to develop political and legal plans and projects relevant to state matters.
  • Students who are capable of networking with other scholars abroad.
  • Students who are capable of communicating in other international languages such as English/French and others.
