Major French Language / Minor Translation
The French Language Major / Translation Minor program aims to provide an educational and research environment for students interested in cultural diversity, openness, and languages. It offers advanced teaching and learning methods that foster academic excellence, refining students' linguistic, analytical, and cultural skills. The program paves the way for students to advance both locally and globally by pursuing graduate studies in fields such as tourism and archaeology, literature, culture, linguistics, translation, and more. It also prepares them for integration into the job market in related fields.
The Translation Minor (Arabic-English / English-Arabic) program is designed to develop students' translation and interpreting skills in a professional context. It provides practical training while introducing students to key theoretical issues in translation studies, equipping them with the necessary tools to navigate the field of translation and interpretation effectively.
- Enhancing graduates' academic level in alignment with global and national standards, enabling them to enter the job market and/or pursue graduate studies, contributing effectively to national development.
- Developing students’ linguistic skills, including mastery of oral and communicative competencies in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), along with intercultural and social communication skills.
