Major French Language / Minor Business Administration
The French Language Major / Business Administration Minor program aims to provide a dynamic learning and research environment for students interested in diversity, cultural openness, and languages. By offering high-quality teaching and learning methods, the program seeks to enhance students' linguistic, analytical, and cultural skills, paving the way for them to advance both locally and globally. Graduates will be well-prepared to pursue graduate studies in Business Administration, Literature, Culture, Linguistics, Translation, and other related fields, as well as to integrate into the job market in relevant sectors.
The Business Administration Minor equips students with fundamental competencies in business management by adopting an interdisciplinary approach, enabling them to develop a well-rounded understanding of the field.
- Enhancing graduates' academic level in alignment with global and national standards, enabling them to enter the job market and/or pursue graduate studies, contributing effectively to national development.
- Developing students’ linguistic skills, including mastery of oral and communicative competencies in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), along with intercultural and social communication skills.
- Fostering students' understanding of Francophone societies and cultures, as well as the social and political implications of the French language’s spread in these communities.
- Equipping students with methodological and analytical skills, including proficiency in research tools and critical thinking.
- Providing foundational knowledge in business administration and organizational management.
- Developing leadership, management, and business-related skills, preparing students for professional roles in various sectors.
- Demonstrating an understanding of business issues and ethical contemporary business practices.
- Exploring Francophone culture and contemporary topics within the Francophone world.
- Understanding oral discourse and written texts across various fields.
- Analyzing linguistic, cultural, and social aspects of literary, journalistic, and other types of texts.
- Developing oral expression skills and the ability to write summaries and analytical texts.
- Acquiring knowledge of oral and written translation techniques.
- Applying scientific research methodologies in academic studies.
- Understanding organizational structures at four levels: individual, group, institution, and organizational relations.
- Comprehending key organizational functions, including aspects, elements, systems, theories, practices, and organizational dynamics.
- Identifying learning needs for professional and personal development in business administration and related fields.
- Teaching in schools, cultural centers, and language institutions.
- Translation and Interpretation in different sectors and organizations.
- International Relations in Francophone governmental and non-governmental organizations, including embassies, consulates, and diplomatic missions.
- Business Administration and Marketing in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
- Tourism and Palestinian Heritage – Working in museums, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, cultural project management, and related fields.
