Clinical Laboratory Sciences

This program aims at improving the quality of clinical laboratory services through linking theoretical knowledge with practical training. In addition, the program aims at providing the society with highly qualified graduates knowledgeable and skilled in utilizing modern laboratory techniques and equipment and using them for diagnostic purposes, in accordance with the plans of the Ministry of Health in Palestine. In addition to the general program, the program offers a concentration in Microbiology and Immunology.

The aim of the Program is to raise the level of services in Clinical Laboratory Science for medical technicians by augmenting the theoretical aspects with adequate practical training. In addition, the graduates will be highly qualified scientifically and thoroughly familiar, knowledgeable and skilled in utilizing advanced laboratory techniques to apply for diagnostic purposes. This will be done in accordance with the plans of the Palestine Ministry of Health

5. Successfully passing the Comprehensive Oral Exam.

  1. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a university recognized by Birzeit University. 
  2. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: medical laboratory science, general medicine, clinical laboratory, science major with a concentration in clinical laboratory , or any other related field after the approval of the Program Council. In addition, students are required to complete any remedial courses specified by the Program Council. 
  3. Fulfilling the admission requirements according to the Academic Regulations for the Master’s Degree. 
  4. A personal interview, if required by the Program Council.
