Audiology and Speech Therapy
Contribute to improve rehabilitation services sector in Speech, Language and Hearing presented in Palestine, and to graduate and highly qualified competent speech and language therapists and Audiologists in communication disorders and speech, language and hearing problems. Raising the local community awareness of the importance of early detection and prevention of speech, language and hearing problems.
- Understand the normal development of language, speech and hearing in children, and importance of having normal basics of biology, environment and psychology for typical communication development.
- Understand various theories that attempt to explain the reasons and the nature of different communication disorders, as well as the different treatment methods that may be used.
- Identify the different types of problems and communicative disorders and their symptoms: Articulation disorders, Fluency disorders, Voice and resonance problems, Swallowingdisorders, language disorders and hearing problems.
- Assessing the severity of the problems and identify their causes.
- make an individual treatment plan for each case according to the diagnosis and the strengths and weaknesses of each client, the extent of family support and other factors.
- Identify the best approaches to be used in therapy for different cases and different disorders based on scientific principles and research based practice.
- Ability to use different devices and instrumentations in the clinic and to use them to in the assessment, treatment, and monitoring the progress of the cases.
- Choose the appropriate tools and procedures for evaluation and treatment.
- Choose the appropriate activities to achieve goals in therapy sessions.
- creatively manage the therapy sessions and to deal with any emergency occurring during the session.
- Ability to modify the treatment plan for the client when necessary.
- Language Pathologist at the Health Governmental institutions.
- Speech and language Pathologist at Private Clinics.
- Speech and language Pathologist at Schools.
- Speech and language Pathologist at Hospitals and Centers that provide Rehabilitation services.
- Audiologist at Private Clinics.

- Participate in any research project about communication disorders in general (Speech, Language or Hearing).
