About the Faculty of Pharmacy, Nursing and Health Professions

The Faculty of Pharmacy, Nursing and Health Professions was established in 2008 with the goal of building capacities in select fields in order to contribute to quality of care, developing scientific research, and Palestinian and regional development.

The faculty prepares graduates to enter the fields of:

  • Nursing
  • Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Doctor of Pharmacy
  • Audiology and Speech Therapy
  • Clinical Laboratory Science.
  • Industrial Pharmaceutical Technology

The faculty seeks to improve the private and public health sectors and related sectors - such as the food industry - through scientific development and professional training in the health field. Training, observation, monitoring and follow-up are used to elevate professional standards. Scientific and applied research concerning health professions is published and publicized locally and internationally. Moreover, academic researchers and workers are provided a platform for cooperation and partnership, while encouraged to develop plans and policies that offer solutions for the health sector.

The faculty has recruited highly-qualified academics to its ranks. Students handle the latest medical equipment as they learn to provide quality applied health services in hospitals and other health institutions in all preventive, rehabilitative, diagnostic, and treatment areas. Advanced curricula have been adopted in cooperation with international universities renowned in the field.

The faculty offers practical training opportunities at various health institutions in Palestine and abroad. Scholarships are offered outstanding students as a sign of encouragement, and the faculty is working on obtaining scholarships for graduates seeking to study at specialized colleges abroad.

The Institute aims to introduce new technologies to the pharmaceutical Industry and to apply quality standards to pharmaceutical manufacturing and to create a distinctive collaborative environment between the Institute and local and regional pharmaceutical companies and institutions. In addition to conduct research and advanced training in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing and analysis.
