ملخص.

يتناول البحث دراسة تأثير الارباح والدخل الشامل وعناصر الدخل الشامل الآخر على أسعار أسهم الشركات المدرجة في بورصة فلسطين. تم تجميع البيانات من القوائم المالية المدققة للشركات المدرجة في بورصة فلسطين. خلصت الدراسة الى ان هناك علاقة ايجابية بين القيمة الدفترية لحقوق الملكية والارباح والدخل الشامل من جهة وأسعار الاسهم للشركات من جهة أخرى. تعتبر هذه الدراسة الاولى التي تتناول العلاقة بين الدخل الشامل واسعار الاسهم في فلسطين وبالتالي تقدم معلومات مفيدة للمستثمرين الحاليين والمستقبليين حول أهمية استخدام معلومات الدخل الشامل الى جانب معلومات الأرباح عند اتخاذ قرارات الاستثمار.

ملخص.
تستكشف الدراسة معرفة تصورات وآراء مدققي الحسابات وموظفي الائتمان حول استقلالية مدققي الحسابات في فلسطين. كان من أهم نتائج الدراسة وجود اختلافات مهمة أحصائية بين تصورات المدققين وموظفي الائتمان حول: تقديم مدقق الحسابات للخدمات غير التوكيدية الى جانب خدمات تدقيق الحسابات، والاعتماد الاقتصادي لمدقق الحسابات على عميل واحد، وطول فترة العلاقة بين مدقق الحسابات والعميل، وقبول المدقق لهدية مهمة من العميل. حيث يرى موظفي الائتمان ان هذه القضايا تؤثر بشكل سلبي على استقلالية مدقق الحسابات. تعتبر نتائج هذه الدراسة مهمة لصانعي السياسات وخاصة الاجسام المهنية المنظمة لمهنة التدقيق في فلسطين وذلك من خلال اصدار قوانين جديدة او تعزيز القوانين والتشريعات الحالية لدعم استقلالية مدققي الحسابات.

This article exploits the Arab Spring, as a natural experiment to study the effect of political upheavals on international travel. Using Gravity model for tourism demand, we find that foreign tourists’ demand to travel to countries experiencing Arab Spring episodes was sharply reduced and persisted after two years.

This paper examines the dynamic effects of consumption externalities in Bosi and Seegmuller (2010). We show that only the patient agent holds the entire capital stock at the steady state, while the impatient agent works to finance his consumption. Our main result states that consumption externalities represent the main mechanism that explains the emergence of endogenous fluctuations due to self-fulfilling expectations

This article exploits the Arab Spring, which occurred in 2011, as a natural experiment to study the effect of political upheavals on international travel. We find that foreign tourists’ demand to travel to countries experiencing Arab Spring episodes was sharply reduced and persisted after two years. We also find evidence of two different spillover effects: a tourism diversion to rest of the world, and a regional contagion to geographically nearby countries (other Arab countries that did not experience Arab Spring episodes and the Mediterranean region, although with heterogenous effects across individual countries). To disentangle how spillovers are channeled, we test whether geographical and cultural (Islamic) affinity play any role. We find that diversion is explained by the attitudes of Western tourists but not of those whose origin is Arabic. Furthermore, we find that the contagion caused by the Arab Spring is stronger for the nearest Muslim countries.
