In visit to campus, Lydda high-school students bolster connections with Birzeit University

Seventeen high-school students from Lydda toured Birzeit University’s campus and held discussions with a number of students, staff members, and professors regarding the university’s academic programs and their role in the development of Palestinian communities on Thursday, February 21, 2019. 

The students, who are part of a local association that encourages and promotes education and higher education, met with Khawla Abu Rumeileh, head of admissions, who explained the entry requirements for students from the 1948-occupied areas, and Rola Shaar, head of student housing, who discussed the accommodation options available. 

The student group also met with representatives of Birzeit University’s student council and various majors in a variety of programs before ending their visit with a tour of the university’s campus and the Palestinian Museum.
