Veterinary Pharmaceuticals Company to work with BZU in manufacturing and research

Birzeit University and the Palestinian Company for Veterinary Pharmaceuticals agreed on June 12, 2017 to develop new veterinary products and conduct new researches in the field of veterinary therapy.

The University President Abdullatif Abuhijleh, and the Executive Director of the Company Mohammad Ashour signed the agreement in the presence of the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Nursing and Health Professions Rania Abu Hamdah and the Director of Samih Darwazah Institute for Pharmaceutical Industries Hani Shtaya, and the Director of the External Academic Relations Amir Khalil.

The agreement has two main folds: developing new pharmaceutical modern veterinary products, and conducting researches to overcome the medical challenges that face the Palestinian Company for Veterinary Pharmaceuticals or improving existing products.

Abuhijleh said that these ties would enable the University to provide its students with new knowledge in Veterinary medical services and benefit the local community. “Samih Darwazeh for Pharmaceutical industries strives to contribute to the development of the local pharmaceutical industry and to become the local and regional reference for high-quality pharmaceutical industry and research.”

Ashour expressed the Company’s enthusiasm to cooperate with Birzeit University in the field of pharmaceutical industries and developing academic researches. This cooperation, according to Ashour, is a mean towards a mutual benefit for both parties.
