University student takes fifth place in 42-km Palestine Marathon

Suhaib Al-Amleh, a student in the Physical Education Department at Birzeit University, has claimed the fifth place in the Palestine Marathon, which was held in Bethlehem on March 23, 2018. The 42-km marathon included 7,000 participants from 72 countries. 

Al-Amleh, who was the first Palestinian to cross the finish line in the 2018 Palestine Marathon, is a distinguished student who has participated in many sporting events in Germany. His next challenge is a marathon in Chicago, USA, on October 7, 2018. 

The sixth annual Palestine Marathon – entitled “Run for Freedom of Movement” – started from the Church of Nativity and included 3-km, 10-km, 21-km, and 42-km races.
