Turkish Academic Delegation Offers Scholarships to Birzeit Students

A Turkish academic delegation from Bahcesehir University visited Birzeit University on April 29, 2013. The visit sought to strengthen academic cooperation, exchange expertise and provide grants to Birzeit students.
University President Khalil Hindi said that the university agreed with the Turkish visitors on a series of steps to strengthen bilateral cooperation. One of these steps is for Bahcesehir University to offer annually five full scholarships to Birzeit University students. A faculty and student exchange is also planned between the two universities, as well as participation in conferences held at Bahcesehir University in May and September 2013.
Headed by Professor Burak Kuntay, the Turkish delegation was received by President Hindi, Faculty of Law and Public Administration Dean Asem Khalil and a number of faculty members, among them Deputy Director of the Public Relations Office Lubna Abdel-Hadi.
Bahcesehir University is a private educational institution in Turkey that was founded in 1998. It is located on the European side of Istanbul, and consists of nine faculties that offer more than 100 academic programs in undergraduate and graduate studies.
