Students Celebrate World Heart Day
The Faculty of Pharmacy, Nursing and Allied Health Professions at Birzeit University joined on October 1, 2016 the rest of the world in marking World Heart Day.
The Administrative Assistant of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Nursing and Health Professions Rami Barakat said that “Heart Day is part of an international campaign to spread awareness about heart disease and stroke prevention. It is the biggest platform for raising awareness about such disease, aiming to guide youth for the steps that maintains a good heart.”
A special lecture was held during the day presented by Moath Nairat, a doctor at the Cardio Surgery Department in Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah who gave an overview about cardiac surgery.
