Staff member participates in Indian training on telecommunication management

Raoul Rabie, a staff member at the Computer Center Office in Birzeit University, participated in the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation - ITEC - training program on telecom management.

Rabie engaged in an eight-week training program on telecom management at the MTNL training center, a governmental telecom company. The program is organized under the flagship of the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India.

The training consisted two parts. The first part included a review about the latest updates to technology available in the market, such as 4G Technology, and IPc6 Standards.  The second part was designed for trainees who need to gain experience in managing telecom. The trainees were able to work on real case scenarios at the MTNL training center.

The ITEC program aims to strengthen the ties between India and Palestine and to assist the capacity building efforts of Palestine, by offering short-term courses and training programs to Palestinians in various disciplines such as information technology, public administration, English language, entrepreneurship, rural development and renewable energy.
