Seminar on Women's Participation in the Elections

As part of the project "Voice
of the Palestinian Youth," the Deanship of Student
Affairs at BZU in collaboration with
the Central Elections Commission held a seminar entitled: "Women's Participation in the
Elections" on 4 June 2012. The seminar aimed
to raise awareness of the importance of electoral programs
and to highlight freedom of choice.

The seminar discussed four themes: the participation of
Palestinian women in the general elections of 1996, the quota system for women
according to the general elections law, participation of Palestinian women in
the general elections of 2006 and local elections in 2005, and future women’s
participation in elections.
