Sarah Awashra from Birzeit University's Faculty of Art, Music and Design Will Participate in the Florence Bienniale 2025

Faculty of Art, Music and Design's Teaching and Research Assistant, Sarah Awashra, has been accepted to the Florence Biennale 2025 in Italy, where she will participate in her graduation project in the Contemporary Visual Arts major titled "Fragments of Existence." The project was produced under the supervision of Professor Rula Al Helwani. Produced under the supervision of Professor Rula Halwani, Sarah will exhibit three multimedia artworks that include painting, photography, and scanning.

The Florence Biennale is an international group exhibition that will take place in October 2025 in Florence, Italy. Artists from different nationalities and disciplines will participate in the exhibition, which will be titled “The Sublime Essence of Light and Darkness”. The exhibition aims to highlight the ability of art, architecture and design to promote awareness of the infinite power of nature, which remains united despite human attempts to change it through wars and destruction, making it resistant to all forms of mortality.

Sara Awashra's participation in this exhibition represents an important achievement for the Faculty of Art, Music and Design at Birzeit University, and reflects its commitment to highlighting contemporary issues through innovative works of art.
