QS World University Rankings Birzeit University Precedes Palestinian Universities

Birzeit University preceded Palestinian universities in the latest QS classification of the top 100 universities in the Arab region in 2015. Birzeit University was rated 61-70 out of 100 universities, preceding the Palestinian universities with a result of 27.1.

It should be noted that this classification is one of the most important rankings worldwide, which included 100 Arab universities, knowing that the British company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) conducts annually QS World University Rankings to rate universities of the world.

Birzeit University preceded in different classifications based on 9 key indicators: ratio of teachers to students, in which Birzeit ranked 24.5, ratio of Doctorate degree holders to the teaching staff, and the university got 58.2, and the ratio of published articles by a member of the academic staff, where the university got 11.2. , and  the ratio of 1.5 for International students who study in the Palestine and Arabic Studies program ( PAS).

The ranking included 260 academic institutions, out of which 194 have completed all requirements for rating. 100 universities have appeared in the ratings. Moreover, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals was the top of the top 100 Arab universities, followed by the American University of Beirut.
