Public administration students survey Palestinian NGO code of conduct

Firas Jaber, co-founder of, and a researcher in, the Social and Economic Policies Monitor (Al-Marsad) gave a lecture on the Palestinian NGO Code of Conduct - which he helped draft - to public administration majors as part of the Management of Non-profit Civil Organizations course, on Saturday, December 1, 2018.

In the lecture, Jaber discussed the code of conduct and the context in which it was created, saying that it was born out of a need to develop and reinforce non-governmental efforts in Palestine and organize them under a unified framework.

Jaber also explored the principles and rules subsumed under the code of conduct, and how they are applied, in addition to surveying the realities of NGOs in Palestine and the challenges and obstacles they face.

This lecture is the latest effort by the Department of Public Administration to build bridges and establish channels of communication between students and decision-makers and experts, giving students the space to explore topics with relevant specialists and authorities.
