Profs Attend Workshop on Maintenance Engineering

Faculty of Engineering Dean Afif Hassan and Ahmad Abu Haniyah of the Mechanical Engineering Department attended the workshop, "Training on Maintenance Engineering," held at the German-Jordanian University in Madaba, Jordan.

They also attended the TEMPUS project’s administrative meeting "Euro-Mediterranean Partnership in Sustainability Engineering" at the Amman Chamber of Industry in Jordan on March 26-27, 2014. The workshop offered training courses in maintenance engineering prepared by the University of Jordan and the German Jordanian University while networking with the local market. Lecturers from the University of Jordan and the German Jordanian University, as well as lecturers from the participating European universities, participated.

The project’s administrative meeting was attended by representatives of the participating universities: the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, Technical University of Berlin, and Ljubljana University in Slovenia. Jordanian partners were the University of Jordan, German Jordanian University, and Amman Chamber of Industry. The Palestinian partners were An-Najah University, the General Union of Palestinian Industries and Birzeit University. During the meeting, activities until the end of the project in November 2014 were scheduled.

A similar workshop was held at Birzeit University on March 24, 2014, as part of the same project, with the attendance of representatives from the above-mentioned European universities.
