Play "Steal Less, Please! Reflects Official Corruption

Birzeit University Theatre Group- Mawasem Masrahyeh performed on May 24, 2017 "Steal Less, Please!” a new theatrical production. The play based on a script by Italian playwright Dario Fo, talks about corruption.

The play, produced by Fathi Abdel Rahman, is a bitter farcical comedy about official corruption that is entangled in our daily-life. The script included traditional Arabic synonyms, and recalled the events of the "Arab Spring".

Mawasem Masrahyeh was formed in 1982 at Birzeit University. It was revived in 2013 and performed a number of plays included “The House of Bernarda Alba”. In 2016, the Group won five awards for their performance at the latter play, at the 12th Philadelphia Arab Universities Theatre Festival held in Jordan.
